FOGGING AND DISINFECTION

Fogging & disinfection

Low volume fogging, horizontal surface cleaning, and full all-surface cleaning, done by the same crew that handles sewage, mold, and flood jobs out of River Road.

Chapter 01

Three tiers of fogging, matched to the space

This line of work started as Baxter's answer to COVID-19, and the same three tiers still apply to the biological hazards that call for them. Low Volume Fogging is pre-emptive cleaning of walls, floors, and other horizontal surfaces, and it suits ongoing maintenance.

Fogging and Horizontal Surface Clean adds extra cleaning for high-touch surfaces like door handles, rails, phones, drawers, and desktops. Fogging and All Surface Clean is the complete, all-surfaces clean that is the industry standard when a COVID-19 case has been confirmed in a space.

Baxter has been at the forefront of cleaning facilities and vehicles for our local public servants. The photo above shows a technician in a Tyvek suit fogging a fire station bay beside an engine.

How a disinfection visit runs

The technician works in a Tyvek suit, and the fogger does the first pass: a disinfectant fog laid across the room, reaching walls, floors, and corners that a hand wipe would take hours to cover.

Then comes the hand work. On the middle and top tiers that means wiping down the high-touch surfaces one by one: door handles, rails, phones, drawers, desktops. The all-surface tier does not stop at the surfaces people reach for first. It covers the whole space.

In Baxter's own words, the crew follows industry best practices and the highest standards when responding to biological hazards, using highly effective disinfectants and advanced pre-emptive or reactive cleaning techniques.

Chapter 03

When to call

Call after a confirmed case of illness in your space. That is the moment for the all-surface clean, and the sooner the space is treated, the sooner your people can use it again.

Call after a biohazard loss, such as a sewage leak or other contaminated water. Baxter handles the water side and the disinfection side under one roof, which means one crew and one set of documentation for your insurer.

Call for routine maintenance too. Low Volume Fogging is built for businesses and agencies that want their facilities and vehicles kept clean on a schedule.

Baxter Restoration has been cleaning facilities and vehicles for local public servants. Family owned since 1995, serving Yakima, the Tri-Cities, and the towns between.

Pick the tier by what happened in the room

Each step up adds work. Here is what each one covers and when it fits.

  1. Low Volume Fogging

    What it covers

Pre-emptive cleaning of walls, floors, and other horizontal surfaces. Great for ongoing maintenance.

    It fits when

Routine upkeep of a facility or vehicle, before anything has gone wrong.

  2. Fogging & Horizontal Surface Clean

    What it covers

The fogging, plus extra cleaning of high-touch surfaces like door handles, rails, phones, drawers, and desktops.

    It fits when

A busy shared space where many hands touch the same things all day.

  3. Fogging & All Surface Clean

    What it covers

A complete, all-surfaces clean. It is the industry standard when a COVID-19 case has been confirmed in a space.

    It fits when

A confirmed illness case, or a space that has to be put right in one visit.

The same discipline as sewage and mold jobs

Disinfection is not a separate trick for us. On a mold job the crew disinfects the whole area, wipes it down, disinfects it a second time, and dries it out. On a sewage leak the crew starts the cleanup the moment they arrive. Fogging brings that same habit of treating a space completely, and then checking the work, to offices, fire halls, and vehicles.
