How the claim side works
Navigating insurance can be complicated. From the beginning of the problem, we can help. We have experience working with insurance companies, and we can assist you with filing your damage claims.
Call us before you call your insurance company
That is the line on our water damage page, and we mean it. The first call gets someone on the way: first contact within 30 minutes, on site within hours.
We photograph the work
We keep photo documentation on all of our projects to ensure accountability, and the paperwork we hand over is insurance approved documentation.
We work through billing with your adjustor
We can assist with claim-related documentation and communication when applicable, so you are not the go-between while your house is torn open.
Get an inspection before you open a claim
From our own write-up on when to make a claim: damage on the surface is usually just the beginning of the problem, so have someone experienced in emergency mitigation do a thorough inspection first. Baxter Construction will inspect anywhere in Yakima County at no cost.
The IICRC is the nationally recognized standard for mitigation training, and its rules are what your adjuster follows when handling a claim. Our technicians are IICRC certified, so the documentation speaks the adjuster’s language.
